As an avid dog lover and hiker, my dogs have always been my adventure buddies — hiking, camping, kayaking, you name it. And not once have any of us come home with clean paws. Mud is basically part of our life.
For years, our outings were long, carefree, and full of energy… until 2021, when we adopted a rescue dog named Kevin. Or, as we lovingly call him, Kevi Wevy. Unless he’s causing trouble — then it’s full “Home Alone” mode… KEVIN!
Kevin is a Beagador with Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a condition that affects his motor skills. We had no idea at first, but as he grew, we noticed his wobbly balance, depth‑perception challenges, and the way his legs sometimes lock up when he gets overstimulated. He’s not in pain — just frustrated that his body can’t keep up with his adventurous spirit.
One day on a hike, his legs gave out. He wanted so badly to run with our other dogs, but he simply couldn’t. His sadness stopped us in our tracks. So we sat with him — muddy paws and all — in a field overlooking a breathtaking autumn mountain. And in that quiet moment, Kevin reminded us to slow down. To breathe. To appreciate the beauty right in front of us.
That moment changed everything.
Sitting there with Kevin, we started talking about what we truly wanted out of life. What mattered. What inspired us. And that’s when the idea for Muddy Pawz Media was born.
Our logo, our mission, our passion — all of it is inspired by Kevin and by every pup who teaches us patience, joy, resilience, and presence. We wanted to honor him, and all dogs, by creating something meaningful… something that lets us tell stories like his, yours, and so many others.
Muddy Pawz Media exists because one muddy‑pawed pup reminded us to stop, look around, and dream bigger.
